More "bipartisanship"

Here's yet another early example of Republican sour gra- ...er, sore los- ...uh, oh yeah, "bipartisanship!", courtesy of poputopian at Hullabaloo:
[Quoting Indiana Republican Mike Pence, who is seeking to become Minority Leader of the House]

"Our mission has now changed. Our mission in the Majority was to pass legislation reflecting Republican principles. The duty of the Republican Minority in the 110th Congress is to defeat the liberal agenda of the Democrat Party and become the majority in Congress again."
I ask those of you who still cling to the belief that Republicans truly care for the nation (while Dems do not), to look closely at that statement. According to the man who wants to lead House conservatives, their "duty" has nothing to do with:
Solving the American-made crisis in Iraq

Investigating and eliminating government corruption

Securing America's borders and vulnerable ports

Fiscal responsibility and reduction of the national debt

Economic relief for the poor and middle class

Election reform and standardization

Environmentalism and support for alternative energy

Restoration and protection of Constitutional liberties

Foreign policy based on negotiation, not invasion
I could go on, but you get the picture. Not one word in Pence's definition of "duty" about simply representing the will of the American people. Instead, the same old dedication to nothing more than obstructionism as a means of regaining personal power.

Fasten your seatbelts, gang. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
