Be sure to read...

...Peter Daou's dead-on accurate essay at today's Huffington Post, concerning new revelations about the Bush Administration's domestic spying activities. Highlights:
Here we go again: a story that could bring down any administration, especially considering the fabrications we've heard about the scope of the NSA's activities and the legalities thereof. But part of me suspects we'll be seeing the same old thing, a scattershot effort from Dem leaders, no genuine crisis coverage from the press, lockstep Republican apologists, and an eventual yawn as this fades into the Bush memory hole...

When will this administration's overreach attain crisis-level attention? Will it simply be another blogswarm and a few days of scattered coverage? Will OJ Simpson and Natalee Holloway and Michael Jackson and Bush's rehashed speeches be the only items that receive roadblock coverage on the cable nets? Will Dem leaders step up and say "enough!" Will so-called 'conservatives' draw a line in the sand?

Once again, I have my doubts

I think this is the first time that three would-be major scandals are upstaged by one massive one, the NSA wiretapping case blowing up on the cover of the USA Today. What a mess for Bush's corrupt administration.

I really hope they all go to prison and get treated poorly by the inmates. I heard that vile beast named Richard Perle today justifying the war and his dangerously vile statements about how we would pay for it and what the citizens of Iraq would think about us in the future had we done things "right" in Iraq.

Amazingly, Al Franken took him to task for authorizing torture and profiting off the 9/11 attacks. It was very interesting.
