Score one for common sense

Federal Judge John E. Jones finally announced his ruling today in the Dover, PA, "Intelligent Design" case. Score one for common sense, globally accepted science, and the separation of church and state.

Of course, I believe that there are many faith-based theories regarding the origins of life which merit discussion and examination - in the right venue. But personal religious supposition has no place in our public school science classrooms. Darwin's observations of biological fact are not in any way incompatible with private, individual spiritual beliefs - and it's time to put this nonsensical debate to rest.

Hey, Kansas... are you listening?
