On a related note, The Nation magazine serves up these two editorials on the excesses of the Bush Administration, stating succinctly, "Either the President must uphold the laws of the United States, which are Congress's laws, or he must leave office."

Senator Ted Kennedy also chimes in on the issue of secret domestic spying in today's Boston Globe. Mr. Kennedy states, "With outrage, we learn that this administration believes that it does not have to follow the law of the land."

In a Thursday opinion piece, the New York Times rightly praises the recent decision by a federal judge to prohibit the teaching of Intelligent Design in Dover, PA's classrooms. The Times observes that "any community that is worried about the ability of its students to compete in a global economy would be wise to keep supernatural explanations out of its science classes."
