Delicious irony

I received an unexpected and early Christmas gift from the most unlikely source yesterday: John Gibson's afternoon "newscast" on FOX.

You see, while channel surfing I came upon a short segment featuring tool advocate Barbara K hawking her latest kit for the independent woman. And I must admit, I was intrigued enough by her philosophy, and the item itself, to pause for a moment and seriously consider the merits of such a gift for my college-aged daughter.

After a brief description of the kit, and some forgettable banter with Mr. "War on Christmas" himself (who seemed unusually charmed by the blond Ms. K's decolletage), a beaming Barbara wrapped things up by proclaiming the tool set "a wonderful Holiday gift."

Oh, the delicious irony of it all...
